Default rpm trouble

I have 93 cbr 600 and I am having problem with my tach working. I have test all the wires to the tach and they are all good. I am not get fire/signal to the tach. So my question is what send the signal to tach? Do the ignition pulse generator operate with the tach. Please advise

damn man i wish i could help you on that one, i just checked my haynes manual and i cant even find what sends the signal to the tach. hopefully someone here can help you on that

jw tho was the tach working and then all of a sudden it just stopped kus if this is the case i would certainly suspect a loose wire

The yellow and Green wire leading from your tach gets the signal from the ignition control module. At least according to the service manual.
