rivit link
i bought the above tool from j&p cycles to install my rivit link.all it does is push the pins out from one side to the other,am i doing something wrong or is this tool not the right tool.any thoughts are appreciated.
that is correct, butwhat it does it pushes the sideplate against the pins and pushes the pins out the other side, and no there arent any other parts with it.now, for the sake of argument,if it did push the side plate on correctly, how would i smooshthe pins so the plate doesnt back off?thanks
if you get the motionpro breaker there is a hole in the end of the long arm of the tool that you can put a screwdriver through to spread out the head of the rivet once the plate is on.
Edit: but if youre going to be spending money on a tool anyways, get the right tool. itll make it 20x easier
