lowering link or stock link

lowering link or stock link
I have an 04' f4i that has been lowered with a lowering link (the bolt is in the upper hole, so its at the 3 in. spot correct?(there are
only 2 bolt holes to use)). According to a local shop it needs to be at stock height to pass inspection.
Question is what years and from which bikes can a stock link be used on my bike?
I hope this makes sense. If this is the case, i have less than 30 days left on my temp. registration. So
i need to get this taken care of ASAP!!
thanks for the help.

RE: lowering link or stock link
what i want to do is raise the bike up to the other bolt hole (1 inch below stock) and
take it to inspection and see if they don't notice. I just don't know how to do it. Do i
need a rear stand? I have a 2 ton car jack and a jack from my car. Can one person
do it by themselves? Where do i put the jack at? Can someone explain how to do this,
I have no idea how.
If this doesn't work, how much for the link?
thanks
