Default rear suspension adjustments, advice?

Maybe today but def this weekend I will be adjusting my rear suspension, first my bike is droppped therefore, my linkage has 2 settings on it currently Im on the top position and I want to bring it to the lower position raising my bike. My question or concern is, as soon as I losen the bolt/nut from the link plate and free it from the linkage is the bike gonna jump up do I need help holding it down? Is it really as simple as undoing a bolt/nut and bolting on to the lower setting? Im gonna attach an image. Any advice is welcome, thanks!!

you can see how low im talking bout on this thread

If Im looking at it correctly, your bike will not jump up, but it will fall down on the rear wheel. You will have to either have two friends hold the bike up by the rear foot pegs, or get a rachet strap and strap it to a truss in your garage. Be ready, the bike will be harder to hold up that you think.
