Default Suspension Adjustments

I have an 06 F4i. The suspension seems for the lack of a better term, mushy at times. I weigh 225 pounds and someone told me the factory setup was for people weighing between 150 -180 pounds? Can anyone provide settings front and rear for a guy my weight?

Thanks!

Joe

Try this: http://www.kgrant.co.uk/Per_Handling2.htm

http://sportrider.com/tech/suspension/

These two sites should give you a good understanding of how each of the suspension components work individually and together.

good Luck!

F4i's have really soft spring rates front and back. As a start, you should change the springs so that the spring rates are appropriate for your weight and also get the forks and shock revalved.

To get in the ballpark for spring rates, check out these two links on the race-tech site:

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but for every weight I enter I get the following: "No Spring Series available for your bike."

You have to go through the site to get any results. After you put in your weight it will ask what type of riding you do Street or Race. Once you select one of these it will give you the product and the price.
