Question Q for Resistor of replacement signals

Hey guys,

*I parked the bike when I got to class today and realized that somewhere on my trip my stock Front Turn Signal Lens Cover had fallen off exposing the bulb. So I went to the honda store to see how much a 2cent piece of plastic would cost me...11 bucks

**I went to ebay and bought some half decent LED turn signals for a few more bucks.

***My question is what kind of resistor size will I have to attach to the line to keep the blinker speed the same? ebay says that these will be running 12volt(duh) at 1 watt.

Thanks!

If you still have incandescent bulbs for rear turn signals, you may not need resistors. I'd hook it up and see if you get hyper-flash before buying them. The bulbs in the rear may provide sufficient resistance so as to not effect the relay.

I would stay away from non-inductive resistors. Instead i would look into a variable load or LED signal relay, should cost around $5..and doesn't put out tons of heat like the resistors do.

What is a non-inductive resistor? More specifically the non-inductive part....

yeah, I personally stayed away from the resistors, too much of a pain. just buy the led relay. although $5 is a awfully cheap. when I bought mine it was a direct plug in for the factory relay, but it was $17. and you have to take the front fairing off the F4i to get to it.
