Default plate light

So i got stopped down here in AL by a state boy for having my plate improperly mounted (guess it was too far under the tail for him?) and for not having a plate light. So i fixed the plate problem, and picked up a plate light that doesn't look too bad....my question is, where should i wire it to? My first thought was the taillight, but i have the CA integrator and i'm not sure about hooking it up with it....are the rear running light and brake light seperate wires/circuits? Or will the plate light (which is a 12V LED bar, by the way) flash brighter when i hit the brakes? lol

Any other ideas where to hook it in? I need it to come on when the bike is on, so i don't wanna hook it straight to the battery.

Any help is appreciated!!!!

Should be able to hook it up to your running lights. I don't see why you couldn't. The LED won't flash brighter.

You should find your original plate light leads and use them. When you removed your mudflap and
changed over to the CA there is additional wires for the light which you must of cut. They will be
easy to find if you take off your rear plastic. They will be the ones not connected to anything.
