oil filter need help please!!!
first time changing my oil by myself. i'm having a difficult time getting the oil filter out of the bike. i already took it off, but can't get it out because of the exhaust. any advice/do i need to take anything else off?
There is a screw near the fill cap. If you look at the bike from the front it is to the right of the fill cap. Its only one screw, you unscrew that and then just brace the tank so that it doesn't get in your way or disconnect any of the hoses. This is based off of my 600RR, though. If you have a different bike you should list it, so that someone with a similar bike can help you.
Is this the first oil change for the bike? Or the first oil change you have done?

I took mine to my mechanic because I didn't want to hassle with all that stuff, when he was done 15 minutes later he told me the filter went through the two middle header pipes and out the bottom.
