What are you expecting to gain by spending more money on oil? Honestly, any decent name-brand oil of the recommended viscosity, along with a quality filter, will do the job just fine provided that the oil is changed regularly.

I don't get to ride a whole lot of miles, maybe 3K per season, so I change the oil/filter in the spring every year.
