A non specific question about an oil filter
Maybe a dumb question, and I posted it here because I was unsure which specific forum to ask it in. I don't understand why this site has so many sub-forums. I'm about to make some site suggestion soon. Don't get me wrong I LOVE this site and everybody here, all real helpful..
Anyways..
I have an oil filter I never used, I bought for a previous bike I owned, a cbr f3 97-98
Will this hookup to my 02 f4i?

74demon is right.
you have to remember that oil filters are based on the thread pitch and size for the bolt which they screw onto, capacity, and outer diameter.
honda has used the same ones for a long time. when i look oil filters for my 954 - i have to look up which filter works for the 1000rr since fram, purolator and the like don't have all bikes listed. it wouldn't make sense for honda to change things up all the time that don't need to be changed - one being oil filter bolts and oil coolers.
you should be more than good to go.
