Default Nice Deal on Shell Rotella T6

Shell is offering a $5 mail in rebate on 1 Gal purchase of their oil. Good until 10-31-2013. So, pick up a couple of gallons at Walmart and get $10 back.

I'm sold on rotella too, used it a lot. Recently I switched to moto specific oil. Anyway, With the cleaning additives in it designed for diesel engines I'm not so sure now. I'm just trying to get some input and opinions from others who use it and why they think its better than moto specific oil, other than the cheap price. Just curious. Not debating here, just curious.

Its funny I fully support people using rotella t but for some reason when it comes time to put fresh oil in the bike I still find myself spend too much on the Mobil 1 stuff even though I know rotella t will do just as well. An observation I have made, maybe because I use Mobil 1 in my truck also it give me a warm and fuzzy; maybe I should just shove the extra money into the oil pan and see if I get the same feeling

Always enjoy seeing threads on oil choice and bike longevity. Below is the link to a informative real life thread from a member:

04 CBR 600 F4i 259,500 miles

"Once again..... squeeaaaakkky clean inside, always makes me happy to see. Regular oil changes FTW!"

Been using Rotella T6 for the past 50k or so, before that the 5qt jug of Mobil 1 10w-40 and 15w-50 before that since 5000 miles.... changed religiously every 5000 miles.

Well I'm not promoting it, but I do use it. I figured that for those that do, a 25% savings is not bad.
