Yeah that's what I'm thinking of doing. The good m/echanic is 25 miles north I don't want to drop a fortune on towing. What should I do? This place is totally trying to rip me off. I know I will have to pay their bs 160$ inspection fee

Where are you located (not exact location, but country or province/state would be nice) ? This will affect what options you have available to you. I'd start by going to Stephy G's CBR F4i Page and downloading the F3 manual and looking it over. Doing the work yourself would be my first recommendation. Also see if you can leverage friends knowledge/support. Are there any bike nights in your area ? Just some thoughts on resources you may not have considered.

I found this on a google search

cbrforum.com/forum/...91/how-repair-your-f3-fuel-pump-102151/

This should show you how to change your own contacts.

Here is a link to the points for your stock fuel pump. I called them contacts before but points is what they are called.

K&L Supply Fuel Pump Point Switch Kit 18-4615

It is only about $30.00

this is the after market fuel pump I have on my bike it is a Mr. Gasket micro electronic fuel pump. There are a couple of different ones you need to find out what psi you need for your bike. These range from 2psi to 7 psi.

here is the Link:

Mr. Gasket Fuel Pump | Product Details | Pep Boys

I hope some of this helps you.
