Im new to riding and i got this 954rr back in sep of last year. its now starting to warm up here in texas and i noticed my temps getting in the ~225 area when sitting in traffic. not sure if this is normal but i ran my bike for about 15-20 mins got it to a stable temp in the garage to about 205-218. rode it around the neighborhood for a few mins at about 20mph and it dropped to about 205. pulled into the garage and took this video and it maxed at in the picture. it normall runs in the 180s while riding on the freeway just want to know if this is normal.

I run water wetter with distilled water and it dropped my running temp. Remember that these bikes are at home going fast. They like the air flow. . . A lot; can you hear the fan kick in?

 

It certainly is a high figure so make sure your fan is working and that the water is ciculating properly. My cbr600 runs hot around town and in traffic (104-108c) but quickly drops to around 75c once I'm on the move. Try flushing the system, refilling and make sure the coolant to water mix is correct.
