I replaced the fuel pump, that wasn`t the problem.I got power to the plug(going to the fuel pump).I don`t think I have a grounding problem! I checked that and it checked good.I`m being told it could be myECM or ECU(the brain).The engine does crank.Can anybody help me??? It`s a 2001 cbr 929rr.

 

Did you verify the kill switch? Those things can go out on you.

 

Have you had the speedo off or unplugged and if so check it, i know on a 600RR they will crank over til the battery is dead without it hooked up. Then there are ignition fuses.

 

Once while riding my 954rr, my bike lost power. Everything had been fine prior to that. Turning the key to On, the fuel pump wasn't going. The fuse had blown. Put the spare in and it started right up as normal. Didn't have a problem after that.
