Default Im going Effing Crazy.

I have an '07 CBR 600RR...The speedometer all of a sudden went haywire. The tach works but my fuel gauge and Speedo dont. the fuel gauge just flashes all of the time. I bought a new used speedo...and its doing the same thing. has anyone had this problem...any Ideas on what it could be?

Sounds like one of a few different things could be happening... [ul][*]A wire could be coming out of the factory plug that you plug into the speedo! Do you have a manual with the wiring diagram? You could go through it and figure out which wire activates the fuel and speedo.[*]You've got a pinched/shorted wire somewhere in said wire.[*]How's your fuses looking?[*]A used speedo will have an incorrect mileage. I don't know if this matters to you or not... but it will have to be reprogrammed by a dealer to fix this. If you're slick, while you're in there and getting that done, you might be able to sweet talk one of the guys out of some free advice on what you might want to look for. Chances are someone there's seen the problem before.[/ul]Give us an update, and any pictures would be a great help!

Your ride, I assume, is still under warranty... Take that bad boy in and let them deal with it...that way it's documented, and if any further problems arise, they can look at the records...and if it keeps acting up, under the Lemon Law, you have the right to get a new one..
Good Luck!
