Default idle speed

I can start my bike but if i let go of the throttle the engine cuts out, There is no idle speed indicated on the clock when i let go of the throttle, the clock does work,I have tried to adjust my idle speed but that does not seem to work any ideas????? i have pushed it in and pulled it out, what is the best setting for this idle speed adjuster??

It actually turns, clockwise for up, make sure you turn it gradually and not to far in one go.
