Mine is around 1200 rpm at present, maybe it should be a little higher?

Yeah once warm it idles perfectly at 1300rpm... never used to, then I had the carbs reset, iridium plugs, K&N etc and set the idle valve nicely and it's sweet. Never ever used the choke either yet which is strange!

After running warming up it sits around 1200 -1250 rpm

My bike is Idling rather erratic at present and pulses up and down and can only expect the carbs need syncing or the Idle jets are a bit dirty?

Only erratic this on idle though and is smooth all the way through the revs to 10k at least as about as far as i have gone so far

Yeah, when i took the bike in for a once over after I'd bought it, got 2 wheel workshop in Ellesmere Port to check valve clearances, tune the carbs etc and service all the fluids blah blah... ever since then it's running so sweet and today I was ut, christ almighty it was pulling like a train in this cold weather. carb's rock... not a fuel injection fan tbh...
