idle problem

Default idle problem

i have a 92 600 f2 cant get it to idle right i have to put it at 2000rpms so it wont turn off and its ruff pretty ruff i sould say and it gos up and down and turns off any one know what my problem might be ?

If it just starting happening, probably dirty carbs. If its been this way, you may need a carb sync.

Also, check to make sure your carb boots are not dry rotted so they are sucking air. Take some wd-40 and spray around your carbs, especially around the mounting bootswhile the bike is running. If the rpms change while you do this, you probably have rotted boots or possibly just loose ones.

But my first guess would be dirty carbs.

well i just got the bike it didnt run it was flooded in ike and now i got it running i already cleaned the carbs i was thinking it needed the carb sync just tring to make sure cuz the plugs are new and i have fire at all plugs besides the carb sync can u think of anything else and thanks for the reply

Uneven Compression will also do that. Do a compression test and see what you have.
