The following is for 99 cbr f4

SO i took off my right side fairing; where the coolant box is. So I saw three rubber tubes...one came from the the coolant reservoir, and went nowhere, and was aiming down; and there was a clamp holding it so it pointed down. One came from the coolant resevoir and went to the radiator(normal). Then the third one that i have a question about, was just hanging there then when ifollowed it, it went to a black box, with a rubber casing over it, I couldnt tell where it went to but it also had a short stubby rubber end, also going nowhere. I dont know if this is part of the air flow system or not.Now i bought this bike used, and it was like that the whole timeand running fine, i just want to make sure that it doesnt belong somewhere. ( I have some pictures to see if it would help you experts out )




Also quick question, i noticed that where the exhaust is right under the oil canister, its dark, could it have been from an oil change that spilled bad or possibly leaking? Im not low on oil...and used it for about 3 months.

It might be a drain tube.

 

I only see 2 tubes coming out of the tank. the breather and the overflow.

third one is coming off the pair valve. Its supposed to have another rubber hose on that fitting back to the airbox.

 

HA!! JONLD, That would make perfect sense; since I removed the intakes that's why its not attached anywhere. THANKS A LOT!! HELPED A BUNCH!
