How to slacken tensioner to remove alternator

Hi all

As the title says, I have difficulties with the tensioner holding the chain to the alternator. Can't slacken it. Any suggestions?

G'Day Klitgaard,

It would be worthwhile letting us know what model CBR? It can be done for the CBR1000F relatively easily.
