Default Help hiss/fi problem?

Hi, I had a problem getting my bike started (600CC 04 CBR RR) a while back, an engineer friend of mine said it was the starter motor, so I proceeded to take the air box, throttle body off to take a look at the starter motor. I cleaned the bushes and it seemed to work o.k during a bench test, I suspect it was the battery not the starter motor (yes I should of checked this first). Anyway, put everything back together + new battery, but now the dash is comming up with error messages and it won't start.

Symptoms
When ignition is on, dash lights up as usual, HISS light stays on, plus MIL light, FI and oil warning displays. The fuel pump doesn't prime, but the bike will start over no problem.

I've double checked all the wiring connectors, seem o.k. I thought the bike goes into default mode if its a problem with the injection system so I suspect it might be something to do with the HISS, but I could be wrong?

Could anyone shed any light on this, what have I cocked up?
