Grinding/rumbling after downshifting
Last night i dropped my '04 F4i in a parking lot on the left side. Frame sliders took most of the impact. But after i got it back up i noticed a grinding/rumbling feeling on my left foot after downshifting with the clutch still in.
After I got home i noticed that the shift pedal had hit the ground and it now has about 5/16" freeplay side to side.
Can a bent shifter cause this problem or do i need to look into tightening the tie rod or something else?
Thanks in advance and I'll prob be ordering parts from this website unless you know of another place: http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/model...semblies/13309

When I dropped mine on the left.. I had the same problem when i down shifted.. it was more of a rubbing/grind.. turns out it was the chain rubbing into the back side of gear shifter..i put some washers where the holder mounts on to give it some space. Might/Might not be your prob. Hope it helps.
