Like speedy I am also in the painting business. Your best bet would be a base coat clear coat system but as speedy said isn't something you want to try and apply as a novice. If you're really just looking for a quick solution on a bike you won't be riding long then I would say to hell with it and just spray bomb the fairings. On the other hand if you want a better finish get a high build urethane primer and apply that first, then go over it with a single stage urethane. When you get the paints ask for all of the hardeners you will need and you might want to think about getting a flex additive for the paint so it is less likely to crack. Best of luck for you, painting can be a b*tch.
