Is this the clutch slipping?????
HI all
I need some help troublingshooting this problem with my F4i.
When i hit 10rpm the bike skips a beat. reves up really high, for like a second then continues to rev.
Is this the clutch slipping.
If anyone has had a clutch clipping before please discribe what it was like.
Oh and how hard is it to change a clutch???
Thanks for your time
Rob

RE: Is this the clutch slipping?????
its not hard at all, id say take the clutch plates out and measure them to see if they fall within tolerances, if not, replace them. if you do decide to dive into your right sidecover and see whats up, i suggest buying, or downloading the factory service manual for your bike, easily the most valuable thing i own pertaining to my bike, it tells you EXACTLY how things go in, come out, what torque and clearance numbers everything should be in. either way, i can give you a basic rundown on how to remove the old clutch plates and springs and install the new ones.
