clutch cable
does anyone else have a the problem of the clutch cable blocking part of the speedo? more like the bottom part where the KM/Miles are, i kind of use it to guess how far i got to go before the next fill up and its always blocked by the dang clutch cable.
what do i do about it? I'm kind of afraid to tie it up because it might effect my steering.

It sounds like it is improperly routed. If you have a manual check how the factory
recommends routing it. If not, maybe visit your local bike shop and see how some of
the bikes on the show-room are routed to give you an idea.
It's also possible that the cable is not the correct on for your bike (too long/short) and that is causing the problem.
It is not a good idea to tie the cable up tight, this can lead to binding/kinks and
steering issues (as you correctly surmised). Control cables should always have some
slack/play at any points that secure/control the run.
Hope this helps, Ern

can anyone post a pic of the F4i clutch cable from the drivers/riders point of view? i don't know what I'm doing wrong but the picture blocks the bottom portion of the display.

ya i am pretty sure this is the stock F4i clutch cable and path.
it cant go behind the display, if you look at the picture, there is only around 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap between the display housing and the air duck cover.
i think i am going to see if i can get a longer clutch cable to run it somewhere else or tie it down to see where it goes.
