ok . i have a 1995 cbr 900rr just got it from a frend for free.. .iv had it for 2 mounth or so .
now just the other day i was riding home and when i made the right in to my drive way a clicking sound start to come
from the engine . so to day i pulled the valve cover off and check the timeing change and lifter caps thay all seen fine.
so i put the bike back to gether and started it up and there was no clicking at idle but the sec i barly hit the throtol it starts to click .
any ideas of what it could be ?

 

Check through the forum on CCTs (Cam chain tensioners) there are 100s of threads on here regards them
I don't want to appear negative on you but just have a quick look and see what it throws up for you,

 

yea but be aware that the cctl problem usually affects F4is and some F4s...

 

I get a clicking sound from the fuel pump when mine is low on petrol or the pet **** is switched off

 

this sounds more like a lifter tick on a old sbc 350 it ticks all the time now ... from start up to shut off. there is no oil light on and when i pulled the valve cover off it looked like it was getting oil.. you guys say it might be the timeing chang gides but would it tick all the time ?and the change seems tight to me but i dont no crap about bikes im just a car tec ...
