I have a oil leak coming out of the number one spark plug fluid drain hole. I replaced the valve cover gasket but it is still leaking. I looked over the new gasket, the cover and down into the spark plug hole with a strong light, still nothing, there does not seem to be any cracks of any nature. I need help please.

The rubber gasket hasnt seated properly

 

I've made sure of that three times it started leaking before I ever took the valve cover gasket off...Thanks though any other ideas?

 

there is the possibility that the gasket might have got nipped at some time, you really must check it before going any further, then try a smear of silicone sealer on the affected area when you refit it, you must make sure its free from oil though,

 

I never really thought to make sure there wasn't any oil on it before. I can see that making a difference I will try that. Thanks
