Default CBR 600 F3 Tune up

I need to know what kind of oil and how much i use in a 1998 CBR 600 F3, and what size spark plugs and gaps they use or if they are pre gapped. also where is the air filter located and can it be replaced with a K & N type air filter, is there anything else im forgetting for just a basic tune up

4 qts of oil. NGK CR9EH plugs if I remember correctly. Airfilter is inside the airbox under the fuel tank. K&N can be used. From the questions you're asking I seriously doubt you have the mechanical knowledge to even do this tune up.

Check your manual. Synthetic 10w40 works for the broadest temp range I believe. You'll probably have to change weights for different seasons however. All of the questions you are asking though can be easily found in a service manual and your owners manual.

10w40 should be good. Sounds like you need to down load a service manual.

10W40 is ok all year round in all climates for the CBR, just make sure you use a good oil like CASTROL Semi synthetic or Fully
always buy the best you can afford and avoid these low buget oils.
The bike will thank you and so will your clutch

I know this is an old thread but I figured I'd add my 2 cents - www.stephygee.com has downloadable service manuals... that's where I got my F3 Manual
