BMC Air Filter... help?
Hey all, was just curious about this. My bike is an 03 600RR. Ever since I got it Ive been running a Jardine RT One Pipe. It seems to me itran a bit rich (too much fuel) back home. Ive since moved to a "slightly" lower elevation, but still have the problem. I was curious if ahigh-flow air filter would help cure this problem a bit. Since my bike is running rich, it shouldnt skrew with it too much, if any, right? I do eventually plan on getting a pcIII, especially if this doesnt help it any.
So whats your view, help, or no help? Thanks, Chris

An aftermarket filter won't do a damn thing..... I've seen more than a few A/F ratio printouts after runs on the dyno with stock, BMC, K&N.... It doesn't change it ALL on a 600RR.
The best thing is a pcIII. If your running a bit rich it doesn't really hurt anything except you gas milage, but if your running really rich it will start to leave deposits in the combustion chamber& exhaust tract and can shorten and even foulout you plugs.

Sounds good, thanks for the info. I think Ill go ahead and get the BMC for reusability at least and new plugs (bout that time anyway) then Ill get a pc as soon as I can to help balance my a/f problem
thanks again for the info, it's greatly appreciated
