Default Best tire brand from this list?

Hey kids: I need a new front tire, and I get a massive discount on them from a local distributor. Unfortunately, that means I have to choose from the brands they are a distributor FOR. Here's the list. Feel free to reccomend a model as well if you have a preference:

  • Avon
  • Cheng Shin
  • Dunlop
  • Kenda
  • Bridgestone
  • Continental
  • IRC
  • Maxxis
Thanks!

I have used the Dunlop qualifiers and they were't bad...they lasted anywhere from 7-10k miles for me.Only other tire I have had is the Pilot Powers, but Michelin is not in the list.

"Unfortunately" you have to pick from that list? That's every major tire manufacturer on the planet *edit* except for Pirelli and Michelin.

Lots of people are fans of not mismatching the pair front to back, so what's your current make/model of rear tire?

If I were picking from that list though - probably one of the Bridgestone Battlax models (BT 16 maybe), based on recommendations.

i had the dunlop qualifiers for years great tire only got about 5000 miles out of em, tried out the bridgstone dual compounds tires fealt real good and lasted over 10000 miles, i like em both but would have to go with bridgestone for the longevity

Best is subjective to what your doing with the bike. But for performance, Bridgestones are probably the best, also depending on model of tire.

And, since your gettting a huge discount, I'd change both tires. Many people run mixed tires, but I would never suggest it. You'll get the most grip and performance out of your bike if run a matched set.

Yeah, I just put another 600 miles on the bike since I first posted, and the rear could stand to be replaced. Thanks for the help guys!

I'd say bridgestone, too, simply because I know they have something decent in whatever you're looking for. (16/21, etc)
I also had dunlop qualifiers, btw, and they last even less pushing a heavier bike. I got like 4k out of them.

Don't forget Sheeeeenko!
