What Brand of tire should I buy.
Hello, I have been useing Metzeler Tires for many years. I do not ride on a track just street to and from work and once in a while run to the store. I have been riding more on local rides. So i have found myself looking for the twisties more offen now. What Brand and Model of tire should I be looking at to buy for my next set. My rear tire found nail this weekend. Size does not matter since my 87' Cane takes different takes a bigger tire then stock 87's.

So steve.... you're saying that the Bridgestone BT021's are kinda like WD40?? (you must really like the birdgies)
However..... thanks to the Indy Hurricane, I've been spraying Motorkote on everything lately. Good stuff. Almost too good. My truck door was squeaking, so I sprayed a little on it, and after that, it didn't squeak.....but it wouldn't stay open either. It just wanted to swing closed on me..
But seriously, Indy, we're in the same boat about tires.
I was running the Dunflop Qualifiers, and while they are grippy and heat up pretty quick, they wear out fast.
I'm either gonna get the BT021's or the Michelin Pilot Road 2's this time around. The Bridgestones are cheaper, but the PR2s are supposed to last a bit longer. Only way for me to know is to try them both...

I used both Bridgestone and dunlops on my 600rr but it wasnt till i used michelin 2ct that i saw i big improvement. To me Michelin warms up and stick to the ground best. i know because of the weight i should use maybe a different tire but as soon as my 1000f is finally running im putting a set of 2ct on my bike. but sticking with 170 on the back and ill make sure to up date every on how i think they handle on this bike.

I found that the old Pilot roads{1}Do really well on the old girl..I do a lot of long touring and they seem to last forever as well as have all the grip I need...done about 13000Kms on this set and showing no sighns of wear yet...stable but a bit heavy on the stearing but fine for my kinda of riding....95 model by the way...
