Battery Swap
Hey,
I am new to these forums. Hope everyone is having a great day. I do apologize in advance if I am posting this is the wrong forum section.
I bought myself a 2004 Honda CBR 600RR. I recently have done the oil change on the bike. However it is time for me to change the battery. The current one is completely dead.
I unscrewed my chair and disconnected the current battery. However the rubber strap for the life of me I cant seem to remove or push off the current battery. I know that I need to move it somehow in order to take the current battery out and insert the new battery that I have purchased. Does anyone have any pictures/video of how I can remove or move this strap to take the battery out? I am not very tech savy however I want to learn instead of bringing it to a shop which would cost me more money.
Another question in regards to electrical would be that I am not able to reset the trip km. (The one you would reset whenever you fill up your gas tank). How would I fix that electrical problem?
Thanks !
Pedram

IIRC, the rubber strap is held down on at least one side just by a bend/hook holding the end down. If you find the end of the strap, you should be able to press down on it to release it.
As for the trip odometer not resetting...are you pressing the right button? Aside from that, you would need a new instrument cluster, or know how to solder to fix it.
