i just bought a 1998 honda cbr 600 f3 yesterday...it was being stored all winter so far, and the guy sprayed some stuff and the bike started right up...i rode it for about 2 hours when i got home, and it was still running perfectly...today i tried starting it...and it turned for a second, and then started clicking...as i kept trying to start it, it stopped turning...is this a problem with the battery, or is it something more serious? im not a mechanical kinda guy at all, and im completely in the dark here

 

When it clicks like that, it's a battery issue. Go buy a trickle charger from walmart or someplcae and hook it up for a few hours to give the battery a full charge. The battery might need replacing too, considering you rode it around and it didn't start the next time. Or, even the stator could be on it's way out and not charging the battery properly anymore. Could be any of these problems.

 

you can push start it now to ride it, but do not jump start it from a car!!!

 

i tried starting it again and the engine wont even turn now...

 

Sounds like a new battery for you. Might also want to check and make sure your alt is still charging.
