Default ZG windscreen or painting the stock??

I wanted to get a db smoke windscreen but I've read of ppl painting the underside of the stock black in the meanwhile. There's prolly a thread on this already but couldn't find it.

Thismay sound dumb to youbut what really is the process of painting the underside?? Just spray paint and let it dry...that's it??? Or is there more to it to prevent chipping? Also, just any black spray paint?

rc car paint works really well. it's designed to stick to the plastic.

Well I personally have the ZG DB windscreen and love it......it looks sick and offers great wind protection. PLUS you can actually see thru it (as opposed to painting it)

Painting the stock one.....
The beauty of that is that it won't chip! The paint is on the inside of the windshield, so if a rock hit the windshield....it might chip the outside plastic, but your paint job remains unharmed all the time.

And yeah....RC car paint would be the best to use if you go that route

My stock was painted flat black. It looked nice, but if you want it to be professional and clean, go with the ZG. Also, I am 6 ft 4, having the taller shield helps out with less wind walking the **** out of my head and upper torso (at least when I am tucked in). I have some pics. I should be getting them up soon

nice pics snobrdrdan...looks very clean. i checked out that other thread and got some advice too. I guess the dark smoke may melt your gauges too. but that ZG DB looks real clean. I might as well cough up the $70.
