Default painting windscreen

I think my windscreen is beyond help... gone yellow and looks cracked but feels smooth. I'm considering painting it black rather than getting a new one since I don't get low enough to look through it anyways. Can anyone suggest a good paint for this purpose? I'd like to put on a sticker of some sort over the paint... something catchy, like a geometric thing that matches the rest of the bike, or something crude.

Sand it, prime it, paint it, then clear coat it.

what about using some of that "night shade" tint stuff? the same stuff they use for blackening out tail lights.

I painted mine from underneath, but I think you are talking on the outside. Either way, I used Krylon Fusion spray paint, supposed to fuse to plastics good. Worked well for me, even w/out sanding. You can buy it anywhere.

When I picked up my bike, the previous owner painted the underside of the windscreen. It looks ok, but it is still stock. Me being 6 ft 4, I want to order a Puig Double Bubble and then paint that underside. This way it will still look badass and it won't melt my gauge cluster...I hope!!

Glock, a couple of things:

I'm 6'3" and the Puig is perfect re. buffeting.

I got the "dark smoke" and it will melt your cluster (grrrr!)...so's I rattle-canned the underside flat black - works like a charm and looks o.k. too!

if it is painted black on the underside, will it still melt the cluster or no?

Painting the underside will eliminate the gauge melting problem.
