That same day when I got home right after I washed it cause I couldn't put it away dirty cause I am obsessed with things being clean. So I don't think that is it. The dealer said the chain was loose (Which I knew) but it was not alarming lose.

Oh the history of my F4i. Well 2 weeks after I got it it left me walking, that should have been my first sign. I think everything that could to wrong has gone wrong. It's just one thing after another. You would think this would lead me to buy another brand but I love my Honda's.

I hear that... I picked up an 01 with 7k miles for $1800. The PO never did any maintenance at all other than oil changes. Most of the problems I have had were due to parts failing due to improper care. I just look at it as it doesn't cost me $85/month to fix, plus I don't have to carry full coverage insurance, and the Honda warranty is only for one year. One year of payments and insurance are more than I paid for the bike. I have a brand new Yamaha; so I can't really say much on purchasing a new bike, but I really like not having a payment and in the long run it will be cheaper just fixing the one you have. Again, I am all for getting a new bike and if I was in your place I don't think I would have left the dealer with anything other than the 600RR. I am just trying to look at it from a point of view other than what I would do... Especially if your current problem on runs you $15 for a new clutch cable.

Well actually a little under 4 qts so more like 3.8 qts. It is barley above the sight glass. I know stunters put in like a quart over and have no problems, but then again they burn it off...as long as its not tooo full (as in parts dipping into the oil creating a lather) then I should be good..My oil is fine at 3.8 Qts

I hear you there in the fact that fixing it will cost me less than $85/month for next four years but if I were to keep it, it will need new rear tire, new brakes all around, probably a new chain and sprocket and maybe more. Not to mention the labor it would take me to install. A new bike is just easier I just don't know if is the smartest decision.

That is up to you. I am telling you that overfilling your oil will cause premature wear and will cause hard shifting. If the oil level is over the top line on the sight glass, it's too full.

If you don't stunt, I don't see how you can compare someone who stunts with what you do or don't do.

You asked for help with your problem and I gave you the answer. What you decide to do with it after that is on you. Good luck...

I guess if you add all of that up your in the area of $1000 +, if you save it and add it to the new bike your that much closer to having it paid off. It is probably a smart decision to purchase new if you need that much. Also, I am jealous!!!

BUT!!!!!!! I was oh so close to buying a brand new 600RR Phoenix edition, 0 miles on it. The dealer even went as far to take the plate off my bike and put it on the new one. It would be $8500 and they would give me $3500. I would put another $3K down which would make the payments $85/months. What do you guys think. Should I do it?
I too have been in the market for a newer RR (07-current, but more 07) and have been waiting out for the right one...I have a buddy who owns a shop and knows his stuff...You are right, Honda is giving dealers quite a large rebate on the new RR's. Something ridiculous like $3500 as you stated. With that said, $8,500 is still too much...you can find one for cheaper trust me, you would be surprised about the markup on these bikes Find yourself a cool dealer/guy and talk man to man

noober I think i am going to take your advise. I'll go in there and say lets go back to our original deal (which was $8K for the bike and $4K for mine but then they gave some BS of how the Phoenix is a special edition so they needed to increase the cost) and I will sign the paperwork. That would bring the payments down to like $60/month.
