Will not stay running, Help!

lol. Especially with you here stephens. We're like the F4i helpdesk and Tahoe is our boss.

I like the kill switch idea too. My high beam switch (basically the same switch) was waterlogged once and my high beam was like, half on and half off. I disassembled it and dielectric greased it up and it was as good as new.

To test CI#1i's idea, try taking out the turn signal fuses and see if she fires up. Are there turn signal fuses? I can't remember lol. But if there are, then yeah, yank em and try to start her.

Your starter switch kills your headlamp by breaking it's circuit. (Probably turn signals too?!).
Consider this situation (as ConeyIsland said): there is a short in your headlamp wiring.
Then as soon as you release the starter switch, the headlamp circuit is re-made, and the wiring short now brings the entire bike's 12V supply down, causing it to die! Pull the headlight fuse and start the bike... it should run. Then use a multimeter to find where the short is
