Default Wierd noise????

I have a question about my 01' F4i....The last two times I put gas in my bike, it started sounding like a dirtbike after I get on it. I dont know if I am filling the tank up too high, or if that could even cause it to do that. The last time I thought I got bad gas so I drained the entire tank and put about a half tank of new gas in it and it didnt do it. But I just filled it tonight on the way home from work, at a different station, and as soon as I left the station it started doing it again. I also just recently had a tune up. So I dont know if it was maybe something with that..Please help.....Thanks in advance.

what do you mean by dirt bike?

if you got bad gas sometimes it's not enough to drain the tank. you may have to replace the fuel filter...which is inside the tank...muhhahhahha....pita to get to.

I went to the same station tonight as I went to the last time I added gas and it was fine. But the two times it did it, I completly filled it up. It only does it when its completly full. And I only fill up with High Grade...And by dirtbike I mean instead of that clean exhaust sound I usually have from my Two Bros exhaust, it sounds like a 250 dirtbike, its like a gargle sound.

Seafoam is one of those products that works very well and sells because it works. As you put miles on combustion engines they build up carbon deposits inside that will affect performance. Carburetors can become gummed up from sitting with gas in them. While SeaFoam is a grreat gas treatment product and helps prevent problems with these things...it also works well to clean the internals of an engine and carburetors which keeps your engine running in top shape. You can buy it at Napa Auto Parts stores.

I'd say get a new fuel filter, some engine cleaner that works by putting in the gas tank and letting it run through with the gas, and stopping at a gas station like BP or Shell, thats about the best top quality gas your going to get. If all that doesn't work then maybe that bad gas did a number on the engine even though it sounds unlikely... but it could of just absolutely gummed up the fuel injectors or valves. Experiment is all i can say at this point.
