What did you do to your F4i today?
Whoo Hoo! Today was official Cam Chain Tensioner Day (CCT) for me!
My bike had sounded the same since I bought it last year... I never had the chance to hear what it sounded like new, sadly... so being relatively new to motorcycling, I just thought that is what it sounded like. It has run great so I thought all was well. Until I read the CCT thread with the description of "Can of Marbles or BB's" sound. And I thought to myself... "Hey, that's what my bike sounds like!"
So today I solved that Problem. And learned ALOT in the process... how to raise the gas tank, get to the airbox, remove the throttle body, and of course switch out the CCT itself.
My bike sounds amazing now... it's just all intake and exhaust sounds... YAY!

Yup, i found the mechanical limits of the engine. @33k, i will be replacing the engine with another until i can rebuild the dragon i once had. K&N, 60hp nitrous (with independent fuel supply), cams, remapped ecu, Custom d&d exhaust, and now it has a very slight (sounds like connecting rod) knock. I didn't miss any gears, don't over rev, I am guessing its simply a result of too much pressure on the lower end provided i don't find something else wrong. Newer used engine on its way anyhow I am not taking a chance.
With the help of 74demon we got my fork seals and oil changed, got to the bottom of why my bar end won't attach on the throttle side and bled the front brake a little more (actually I didn't do much at all except provide bacon cheese burgers and stand around).
cleaned the bike, ripped off the smog stuff(cali bike) and did the clean air mod to the bike. all i can say is it idles and revs cleaner and smoother. Just need a power commander to clean the part throttle issue up and it will be good to go.
Tore her apart.. again. Found out I have under .005mm clearance on 7 of my intake valves and just .005mm on the 8th. Yeahhhh that explains why it won't start unless it's a solid 85+ degrees out. Maaaaan I bought an F4i because they're supposed to be reliable lol. Might not be keeping her for too much longer once I get her in shape.

finally got my rims back from powdercoating. And new front rotors. She's looking lovely now
