well...aside from the throttle, which is np once you get that down, many liter bikes are easily flickable in the twists! what's a pig IS RC-51...that thing felt like a missile! but 929, 954, 1krr, etc. are all very flickable, unlike the RC51, as flickable is my boogers

all have made good points, but i dont really plan on jumping on the liter bike and going ***** out. With every bike ive riden i have taken time to really get to know the bike and to get to know the throttle, and thats why if i take it slow and really build up my skill slowly then i shouldnt have any problems. I realize the new 600's are track machines, but i just feel more comfortable on the 1000. Correct me if im wrong but the bike u feel more comfortable on is the bike that you will ultimately be able to ride better.

This is why I love the middleweights. The 675 is my dream bike and the 750 is an absolute stunner. I wish there was more competition in this class from other manufacturers.

Not Really. As you learn the bike you will become more comfortable on it. As long as the Ergo's are close, you can fine tune them with aftermarket parts. The problem with liter bikes is if you don't track on a regular basis, there is no use buying one for the street. A liter bike on the street can't really do anything better than a 600. They can't corner as well. You can't use the acceleration. The only thing you can do is go 30mph faster in a straight line.

On a twisty backroad I can run my F4i quick enough to make a rider on a liter bike work to keep up. If I push (which I don't like to do) I can dust him. It takes a better rider on a liter bike to keep up with a good rider on a 600. This is one instance where the machine cannot makeup for the deficiencies in the rider. If you are slow in the drags, you can buy a bigger bike to go faster. If you are slow on the track or the twisties a bigger bike will make you slower or deader.

It all comes down to what you want to do with the bike. It's your money so if you want a 1000rr get one. You have some experience under your belt so it probably won't be a death trap if you respect it. The "comfort" thing is BS because the ergo's on the F4i are WAY more relaxed than on the 1000rr or 600rr. The 1000rr "feels" like a bigger bike which is not really a good thing. For anyone other than a professional rider, the 600's will be faster than the 1000's on the curves.

There is a reason the F4i is still the king of "all around" bikes.

There are really only three liter bikes I would have right now. The RC51, because I love the way it looks and sounds. Yea it's a pig, but good ole Nicky still put it on the podium many times. It's a challenge. The Ducati 999. Enough said. The GSXR1000, because there really is no denying that it is the absolute best of the Superbikes this year. Sitting on it is like sitting on a 600. It feels a bit cheaper than the 1000rr but makes up for it in power and handling. It is the ultimate track tool and one that I could spend the rest of my life attempting to master. If I had one, it would probably never see the street.

the 1000's seem like a good idea until you make a turn on cold tires and spit yourself over the bars and into the weeds
