Default Bike Died

I was getting off work when they asked me to go cover for someone for a half hour. So I rode over to where he was and turned off my bike. He said they didnt need me afterall. So I walk back to my bike and when I turn the key it dosen't prime. I hit start and the starter winds but the bike won't fire. I tried to check all the wire connections and they seemed good to me. I tried bump starting it and that didn't work either. This has happened a couple times before but I'll just turn off the bike for a minute and it will fire right back up.

I'm hoping the injectors aren't bad. Maybe it's a fuse? I haven't had time to check it out yet.

Also, the dude I bought the bike from said the bike was still under the extended warantee till Oct. but he was unable to produce any proof of that so I'm treating it like there is no warantee unless someone can tell me how I might find out. I bought it about a year ago and I don't have the dudes contact info anymore. I could drive to his house but it's 2 hours away and I have no gaurantee that he still lives there.

Much Thanks

Sounds electrical to me, but I'm not sure what to look into.

A two hour trip may be worth it. Maybe this time it is something simple and inexpensive, but the next time could be different. If you still have a bill of sale, I bet the Honda dealer could look up the vin #, and with proof of you as the new owner, you might be set.

If you didn't hear the fuel pump prime, then that narrows it down. Check the simple stuff first. Fuses, relay, then if those are good, make sure the pump is getting power. If the pump is getting power and it's not priming, then your pump is dead.

Honda keeps all warantee info on their network. If it truly is under warrantee, a Honda dealer will be able to run the vin number and tell you if its covered or not. This is a silly question perhaps, but maybe your engine kill switch was turned to the "off" position? Hondas will still turn over when in the "off" position, but not crank. If it was off, then the fuel pump would not come on even though every thing else is operating.

sounds like an electrical issue with the fuel pump to me. check the relay, kill switch (internally for contact), and then the positive and negative wires. if everything checks out then i would say that your pump crapped out. definately check into the warrenty thing first tho.

Check the connections in your start/kill switch assembly. I know there is a wire in there that can come loose. You can jump the connector for the tip-sensor to check it, but I can't remember what wires.

tip over sensor is in the front fair behind the headlight assembly

and if its more then a 30* angle i dont think it will start... and yes it cuts off ur fuel pump (everything else works fine when its engauged)
