I was driving at night when i noticed that my lights werent very bright, then the bike started to spuddering when i accelerated and after a while the lights became dimmer and the studdering more frequent until the engine stopped completelly and the battery was dead. I hooked it to my friends car with jumper cables for 5 minutes which gave it enough juice to get it to his house. Anybody got any thoughts???????

 

I had something similiar happen - turned out to be a bad battery. Yours sounds like it could also be a bad alternator. Pull the battery and have it checked at your local autozone (or whatever). If you are lucky you will just have to replace the battery which is reasonably inexpensive and easy to do. If the battery checks out ok then check the voltage with a voltmeter as outlined in the owners manual. Good luck!

 

that happened to me to it was my battery too. do like the other guy said check your battery first

 

same happened to me i just recharged my battery hasnt done that since

 

The battery is only a few weeks old. Could it be the rectifier/regulator? I've heard that they are a week spot on the CBR's.
