undertail cutting
Out of all the undertails i've seen, the hotbodies looks the best to me. It's the sleekest looking and to top it off it has led's which i think makes it pop. I've got an '01 f4i and i'm close to pulling the trigger and buying one. The concern at hand is cutting for the install. Has anyone here every personally installed a hotbodies undertail and have a story to share about it-greatly appreciated.
i have a hotbodies undertail and like it, i am getting a different one for a new look but that's besides the point...
as for install, the directions are a little sketchy just because they are in black and white and sort of hard to see....do a search for hotbodies undertail f4i install...some guy did an install with a ton of pictures and it helps...it's real easy to do, not hard at all....most frustrating may be repositioning the trunk lock only because the area to screw in is very small...
all-in-all, if you are decent with your hands, shouldn't take you more than 1.5 hours....if you take your time and do it right....

plenty of info for this using the search feature. I think I wrote my hotbod install up a few months ago, you can check my previous posts. LEDs on my hotbod undrtail are pretty dim by the way. I usually rep forum member 'stephens' undertail whenever someone asks about good looking brand.
I installed an ALtezza Hotbodies undertail on my bike about 4 years ago and is a good piece. The paint started chipping from road debriswithin the 2nd year but that was expected.
Yes cutting the rear fender to make it fit correctly is a little tricky but just follow the directions and youll get there.
Like ffingers stated, the trunk lock can be abit tricky, I had to position mine backwards from where the directions stated, but figured it out.
Heres a pic
