Default Track Prep and fuses

Isn’t there an easier way to prep for the track? I pull my fuses for all my lights and realize that my gauge lights aren’t on, and I say OK no biggie. Then I crank the bike and notice that I don’t have a tach, “I can’t ride like that” I think to myself. I notice that the fuse for the rear is the same circuit for the gauges. So I unplug the white, blue and orange harness at the rear, still have rear lights. It a mother to put them back in with my large hands but I suck it up and remove the bulbs.

1st Q: What are those 3 harnesses for?
2nd Q: What’s the easier way to do this?

Can't you just tape over your lights?

Yeah, I also wanted to know what is the easiest way to disconnect all lights.

You can tape them, but they could burn the tape.

if you put tape over any light that is still on, it will burn the adhesive onto the light and will be really hard to get off. as far as unplugging the taillight, couldnt you just pull the bulb connectors off without having to pull the bulbs out? same goes for the headlight....

ummmm since when are you required to remove your brake light?!?!?! thats like THE ONE they make you keep....im lost....

headlights yeah....disconnect the harness and put a resistor in place of the bulb in your new harness, yoursystem will think everything is in perfect working order, then put on your race fairing...

you really gonna ride your street bike on the track? if you race you need two bikes realistically....of foot long frame/swingarm/tank/windshield sliders...lol...

pullthe 10A headlight fuse and the 10A turn/stop/horn/pass fuse
pullthe front turn signal bulbs
remove the rear turn signals completely
unplug the 2 rear brake light wires
remove the license plate

True that most of the time you're using engine sound. I tape over speedo though.
I pulled all the fuses that were lights related and then put the gauge one back in. It runs ALL the gauges. I think I may need oil, fuel, etc warning....ya know just in case.
Why couldn't that be on it's own circuit, huh Honda?
