Tire question..
So i have had my 01 F4i for about 4 or 5 months now, i dont get to ride much because im at school but everytime i go home i try to ride it with the limited time i have over the weekends and hollidays and such. anyways when i picked it up the guy who had it beofre me but hte front timre on backwards, meaning that it is rotation the wrong way. i have probally but 300 miles on it this way(no idea how much he rode with it like this) because i havent had a chance to take it to a mechanic because like i said i only get to ride when i got home on weekends and hollidays. so my question is, will it hurt anything to just ride this tire out like this, i know that it sticks pretty well on dry pavement but im sure because of the tread pattern it will not do so good in the rain. so should i get it turned around or just wait untill i get new tires, which will probally be in another 1000 miles. they are the oem tires.
Thanks

RE: Tire question..
I would guess it's probably all right to a certain speed. I dont know what that speed is, but you'll know when you went past it. And as you stated, it will likely suck in the rain. I thought I'd heard of club racers that race on a track that is particularily hard on one side will flip them around and use up the other side. I have not seen this, I just think I remember hearing one of them say that. And even then, i dont know that it is a good idea.

RE: Tire question..
most of the time racers flip slicks not DOT's
I'm sure some flip the DOT's too but it should be mentioned that DOT race tires have VERY little tread, just enough to be technically DOT legal
confidence in your tires is huge imho and if your not sure that they are optimal, it will affect your riding
at least thats my experience
as you said, riding in the rain is pretty much out unless your crazy
