I was cleaning my TB's with some carb cleaner and i think it said in the book not to clean them because of some grease or something or other. Is it okay to clean them?

Yeah, I read the same thing, but rather than carb cleaner, I just used rubbing alcohol, which I would imagine is milder than gasoline.
