Default temp sensor, pc3 question

1) does the temp sensor always show some digits or kicks in after some lower limit temp? mine showed "--" at the ignition and at the idle (we let it work maybe for a minute, not more)..
2) does pc3 light up when you start the bike? or does it work without any leds/lights?

the temp display only shows the temperature when it reaches about 36 degrees celsius - i think that's somewhere close to 100 fahrenheit. that's about the same time the starting high idle should turn off and return to normal idle speed.

96 degrees Farenheit and it should start coming on. Same as a car it doesnt start climbing until around 90 degrees.
