Default Symptoms of worn tranny dogs

Although I have been riding motorcycles for 4+years. I am new to sport bikes in general.
So my question is what are symptoms of worn dogs? I've noticed on my newly aquired 02 f4i that I am able to shift up through all gears without using my clutch. I've read on here that people can do that and its called clutchless shifting. But I am so able to shift though gears up and down, while the bike it off. I tried this on my previous bike an EX500 and I was only able to shift from N to 1, or from N to 2.
But on my current bike I am able to shift N-6 and back. Is this normal?
Sorry for being such a newbie. I don't have any friends who ride and only know what I taught myself or read online. Only been on 2 bikes in my life.

I wouldn't worry about worn dogs unless you start missing shifts or popping out of gear.

Shifting all 6 is normal-ish.

Same here, i'd worry if that would NOT be possible (although I don't see the point of doing so)

my tranny is pretty worn and when I downshift it sometimes doesn't wanna go and I have to release the clutch a bit. When I feel a tiny jerk and hear a small "clonk" i press the clutch again and i can shift all the way to 1.

Little boxy pegs in the sides of the transmission cogs that lock them into each other when pushed together thus relaying power past spesific cog pairs. By changing which cogs are "dogged" together the operator selects the transmission ratio, in other words, changes gears. See google image search "transmission dogs" for illustration

I just wasn't sure if it was a bike specific issue or not. It shifts every time, and hasn't popped out of gear yet. My only other experience with a bikes was my last and it didn't allow me to change gears so freely without usage of clutch. To be honest, its something I never tried either. I was taught to just always use the clutch plain and simple.
I only noticed an "issue" on this bike is when I was at a stoplight, I would down shift into first and when I would want to get into N.
The CBR would always just bypass N and go straight into 2nd with 1 toe lift. The N light would flash blip though. So I have to try several times to get it into N at a stop light.
On my last bike, it would only go into N from 1st at a complete stop. And I would have to lift my toes again to shift into 2nd. So having the CBR skip straight to 2nd with a single shift was a surprise to me.

Also F4i while coasting at low speeds 10-20 mph. Very minimal throttle I can upshift 1st-6th without the use of the clutch and its smooth through all gears. I just let up on throttle at each shift. Is this normal? It was kind of surprising to me. I've only put on 3 miles since I purchased it and am still getting familiar with it.

"Most" bikes don't like to find neutral while stopped. I have an NC30 and it is famous for that. I have learned to find it while the bike is moving a tad, or I just blip the throttle a tad while trying to shift (with clutch in) and that sometimes helps me find N.

Yes, you should be able to shift through all the gears like you mentioned... usually you need to roll the bike forward 6 inches or so to get the next gear (when not running).

Your transmission sounds like it is in good shape. Don't worry unless you start missing shifts regularly or it pops out of gear under heavy load (acceleration).

If you are having trouble finding neutral as I did with my F2 try shifting into neutral just before coming to a stop. As you are gently rolling up to the stop light and are going really slow it is a LOT easier than trying to find N while actually at a standstill. I also find it easier to go down from 2nd into N than up from 1st when at a stop.

My old Ninja was only able to go 1-N-2 while the engine isn't operating. It's just the way Kawasakis are designed. You're good as everyone has said.
