Default Stupid gauge question

Well all my stuff works and all. Gauge all works and everything. But my clock, and trip meter keeps reseting, everytime I turn the bike off. I even tried totally charging the battery all the way up to max then turning the bike on setting the clock. Just to find it reset after I turn the bike off then back on agian(would be nice if the bike miles would do that too ). The bike starts and eveything, just the freakin clock wont stay set. Does anoyone have a clue what might be wrong?

Sounds like wirring to me. Have you had any wirring issues or wirring work done to your bike? Could it be that your constant wire has been disconnected somehow? That's all I can think of. Best of luck figuring it out howudoin73921..

well the only wiring thing I can think of being done, is I have a power commander connected, and it came with the bike. Where is this constant wire your talking about?

Have you ever done stereo work to a car? It has two power sources, Constant and ignition. When you sit in your car and insert the key in the ignition the stereo turns on and resumes play where it left off. The constant wire feeds the stereo constant power for it to keep memory such as the song that was playing, time, security. The same goes for the time on our bikes.I'll see if I can find a wirring scamatic..

How about the battery connections? Make sure they are clean and tight. Then check the fuses.
