Stator going bad?
#11
The stator is part of the charging system. It's only influence on starting the bike is if it didn't charge the battery on the ride before.
How low did the voltage drop? Keep starting it and turning it off a few times to remove the static charge from the charger. A good battery should be able to handle that and recover to 12v.
You can test the stator output in AC volts and check to see if the windings are shorted to ground or open.

ok so after the charge i tried to start my bike took about 3 attempts which i also need to figure out why it doesn't start right away willing to listen to tips out there, after charging the battery was at 13.5 after starting dropped to 10.2-10.1 than bike turned on jumped to 12.5 after bike started warming up started to jump to 13.6 i gave it throttle at about 4k rpms and voltage was at 14.6-14.7

ok so the other day i had a 12.8 v before turning the bike on, i turned it on and when it cranked voltage dropped to 9.8 but it turned on this was after i rode it from work to home and let it sit for 30 min, i than shut it off. Today is a nice day so figured id take the bike out got my meter out got the keys and it read 12.4 turned the bike over voltage dropped too 9.2-8.9 bike didn't turn on.. startin to think its the battery not taking a good charge?
